Star of Shah’s of Sunset Manly Beauty Secrets Revealed
This Sunday, Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset returns with its usual opulence and controversies. Reza Farahan, one of the most prolific stars of “Shahs” is more camera ready than ever, with the help of Tehrangeles’ own, Board Certified Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Ashkan Ghavami.
“We’re bringing Persian back to Bravo this season, otherwise known as sexy,” says Reza. “We love the glitz and the glam, it’s our culture, and it’s who we are.” Reza has always been open about his mixed religious background, his sexuality, and his opinions. It is no wonder he would be open about his manly beauty regimens even if some are from the hands of a plastic surgeon.
Like today’s Persian community, ancient Persian societies placed a great significance on beauty in all aspects of life; in their architecture, art, landscape, poetry and, of course, each other. Romantic literature constantly praises a classical beauty with long-arched eyebrows, large almond shaped eyes, and a small nose. And now, the most socially fashionable have cosmetic surgery both in Tehran and Tehrangeles to live up to their beauty ideals. That is why Tehran is largely regarded as the world capital of nose jobs (Rhinoplasty) and Tehrangeles is the stateside counterpart. Dr. Ashkan Ghavami’s Beverly Hills practice is a “plastic surgery and rhinoplasty epicenter” where art meets facial beauty… beauty surgery that is. Dr. Ghavami is a frequent invited lecturer at national and international conferences, from Paris to Hawaii. He has written textbook chapter and research articles specifically on Persian noses.
“Hello, look at my face, its perfection,” states Reza, “And it needs to stay that way.” Of course, Reza is being tongue and cheek but Persian society male or female finds aesthetics in life, art, and yes media to be of importance.
Reza, the self-proclaimed “Sexiest Man Alive,” enjoys all things luxury which is why Dr. Ghavami was his number one choice when it came to Reza selecting a surgeon to help him maintain his oh-so-cool style. Dr. Ghavami is using Botox to stop the hands of time with Reza. In the past Botox was used as a wrinkle eraser, but Dr. Ghavami is using it as also as a preventative measure on Reza.
Dr. Ghavami is focused specialist in numerous aspects of facial and cosmetic plastic surgery, and he has assured Reza that he will continue to be able to fully animate and work all his known facial expressions while keeping his youthful good looks. Dr. Ghavami feels that it is refreshing that someone in the media spotlight is being so candid about sharing his “beauty secret(s)”, even if it is helped by the hands of a plastic surgeon. “We are often in a thankless position,” adds Dr. Ghavami and “I can’t tell you the number of times I run into patients out in public and they look the other way.” It’s quite interesting. We look forward to another exciting season of Shahs of Sunset n Bravo.
